Who we are ?

History

In 1961, The uncle José Quiroz, his wife, four of his sons and two of his cousins left a community near the Cricamola river with one objective, to find fertile land. After a few years of searching the returned to their old community to tell their families about their new settlement, which was called Silico Creek since 1964.

The 2 younger Aguilar brothers grew up and then raised their families in this new community. We are the children of these brothers and we enjoy the wonderfully rich land with the families that we have now formed.

5 years ago, we decided to create a rural community tourism organization to share the richness with visitors.

Mission

To be an organization that promotes economic independence through active participation of the community in the development of rural community tourism, using our strong natural attractions and the traditional culture that we know, to improve our economy and our quality of life.

Vision

To strengthen our organization and position ourselves as the model to be repeated in other communities, to participate in the development of the region and make ourselves into the key form of transmission of the Ngöbe culture to nacional and internacional tourists.
